Zack was among the individuals who interviewed and investigated the death of Kenneka Jenkins. In 2017, Kenneka was found dead after entering a walk-in freezer at a hotel. The incident sparked numerous rumors, including allegations that her friends or the hotel staff were involved. Zack conducted interviews with some of Kenneka's friends who were present at the hotel, all of whom denied any wrongdoing. Another unfounded rumor suggested Zack's involvement in her death. Authorities ultimately ruled her death as an accident.

On May 30, 2018, Zack was fatally shot in a drive-by incident. A bystander recorded the aftermath, showing several individuals fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Many speculate that rival 10-5 Goon Town gangs, seeking retribution for Rome's arrest, targeted ZackTV1 as he was one of Rome's closest associates.
