Young Chop

Young Chop, born Tyree Pittman on November 14, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois, has carved a niche for himself as a prominent rap record producer. Currently signed to Glory Boyz Entertainment and Warner Bros. Records, his journey into music production began at the tender age of 11, with his cousin's guidance. During high school, he crossed paths with Chicago rapper Chief Keef, for whom he produced beats that significantly contributed to Keef's rise in the hip-hop scene. Young Chop leads the production group 'BandKamp,' featuring talented beatmakers like CTC Reaper, Paris Bueller, 12 Hunna, Smylez, C-Sick, and Poo Mack. His acclaimed productions for Chief Keef's hits such as “Love Sosa,” “I Don’t Like,” and “3Hunna” have cemented his status as a key figure in contemporary hip-hop production.

Kanye West and Pusha T Beef

The release of Chief Keef's hit song “I Don’t Like,” produced by Young Chop, caught the attention of Kanye West, who crafted a remix featuring Pusha T, Jadakiss, Big Sean, and Chief Keef. Young Chop expressed discontent with the remix, primarily because West used his beat without seeking his approval, and he felt uncredited. However, the situation was amicably resolved after Kanye West reached out to him. Despite the reconciliation with Kanye, Pusha T released a diss track titled “Exodus 23:1,” targeting several artists, including Young Chop, with pointed lyrics. The unexpected diss surprised Chop, especially after his beef with Kanye had been settled. In 2013, any tensions between Pusha T and Young Chop seemed to have dissipated, as Chop went on to produce Pusha T's track 'Blocka'.
