D’Block is a moniker embraced by the 600 set of the Black Disciples gang in Chicago. This nickname pays homage to one of their deceased members, Devon “D’Thang” Hogan, who passed away in 2011. The term D’Block frequently appears in the lyrics of Black Disciple rappers, including RondoNumbaNine, a fellow 600 member. Naming gang territories after fallen members is a common practice in Chicago. For example, after the murder of the renowned Chicago rapper Lil JoJo in 2012, his gang began referring to their neighborhood as 'JoJo World'.
