Smoking Tooka

Smoking Tooka is a term used as a diss directed at the Gangster Disciples in Chicago, Illinois. Shondale Tooka Gregory was a member of this gang who was tragically shot while waiting for a bus. In local street vernacular, being shot is often referred to as being 'smoked.' As a form of disrespect, particularly among gang rivals, it is common in Chicago to name marijuana strains after deceased members of opposing gangs before smoking them. When someone mentions 'smoking on Tooka,' it is often rivals mocking his death.

In Drill Music, a genre that emerged in Chicago, references to smoking 'Opp packs' are prevalent. These 'packs' are named after rival gang members who have been killed. Some of the well-known packs in Chicago Drill Music include the L'A Pack, Baldy Pack, and Tooka Pack, among others.
