Goofy Meaning

Goofy is an English adjective signifying foolishness, silliness, or stupidity. The term has gained traction recently, notably in the context of drill music emerging from Chicago, where many rappers frequently employ 'goofy' in their lyrics. When a gangster refers to another person claiming to be a gangster as 'goofy', it implies that the person is being foolish for pretending to live a lifestyle they do not truly embody.

Goofy Example

A drug dealer who perceives a customer as 'goofy' might resort to shortchanging them, providing a lesser quantity of drugs than what the customer paid for, such as handing over a nickel bag ($5 worth) while charging for a dime bag ($10 worth).

In his track, 'Who the F*ck is Dude', Lil Jay states, “Yeah I got shot 10 times but goofy had no aim.” Here, Lil Jay implies that the shooter was inept and foolishly inaccurate.
