Aiki Muhammad was a 17 year old gang member whom was shot at a party and later died as a result of his injuries in Chicago, Illinois. Aiki was a member of Bricksquad, a set of the Insane Gangster Disciples, which includes rappers such as P. Rico and Lil JoJo. On July 6, 2011, while at a party with friends, Aiki was involved in a heated argument with Donte Daniels, which stemmed from Daniels’ refusal to loan his hat to Aiki’s friend. While outside the house and still arguing, Daniels flashed a weapon on his waist, Aiki smacked Daniels and got into a fighting stance with his hands up and ready to fight, however, Daniels had no intention of fighting him, he instead pulled out his weapon and reportedly shot Aiki 4 times. Aiki was later brought to the hospital in critical condition as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, and died 5 days later as a result of his injuries.
As a tribute to Aiki Muhammad, his gang, Bricksquad, decided to adopt the nickname Aikiville. As some of the Bricksquad members became rappers, many of them can be heard referencing to their gang as Aikiville in their songs, such as P. Rico, Smylez, among others. Though he is praised by his fellow gang members after death, he is often disrespected by his gang’s rivals. In Chief Keef’s song Kay Kay, he says “Wack a F*ck n*gga like Aiki”. Chief Keef is a member of the Black Disciples gang which is currently at war with Bricksquad.
